APPRENTICES

Heavy Equipment Apprentices Heavy equipment apprentices shall be employed in the following manner: there shall be one (1) apprentice for up to three (3) heavy equipment journeypersons employed by the employer. There shail be one (1) apprentice employed for each multiple of four (4) heavy equipment journeypersons employed by the employer. See also further ratios in the Appendix.

Hoisting Apprentices Hoisting apprentices shall be employed in the following manner: there shall be one (1) apprentice for up to three (3) hoisting journeypersons employed by the employer. There shall be one (1) apprentice employed for each multiple of four (4) hoisting journeypersons employed by the employer. See also further ratios in the Appendix.

— Mechanic and Welder Apprentices Where the employer employs more than three (3) but less than five (5) journeypersons, the employer shall employ at least one (1) registered apprentice. The foregoing ratio shall apply equally to mechanics and welders.
