Article 11 · p.20

DISCIPLINE

The procedure by the Employer in disciplining an employee regardless of the amount of time on the project shall be: (1) Warn the employee verbally of the offence. Warning notice is to be signed by the employee's Supervisor and Steward (where appointed). Copy of warning notice mailed to the Union office. (2) Second offence: Warn the employee in writing of the offence. Warning notice is to be signed by the employee's Supervisor and Steward (where appointed). Copy of warning notice mailed to the Union office. (3) Any further offence calls for a suspension. The length of the suspension to be at Management's discretion but not to exceed one (1) week. (4) Any offence after suspension: employee to be dismissed. (5) The above is not applicable to the following: intoxication, insubordination, theft, altercation on site and illegal work stoppages which may be subject to dismissal. (6) Site or company specific safety violations or violations of owner-stipulated rules may be grounds for dismissal. All employees shall be treated equally under this Article. (7) Notice shall be sent to the Union whenever an employee is dismissed under Article 11.
