(1) An operator or other worker may only ride on a self-propelled drill where the operator or other worker is in a safe position inside a roll over protective structure.

Where there is no roll over protective structure, the drill shall have controls for machine travel located to allow the operator to move the machine from a position off the machine and clear of hazard should the drill roll or slide downhill.
