PART XI SCAFFOLDS, STAGES AND WORK PLATFORMS — Counterbalance of thrust-out beams

(1) A thrust-out beam used for supporting a swing stage shall be counterbalanced to support a load of at least 4 times the static load.

A counterweight used to counterbalance a thrust-out beam shall be
228(a)
clearly marked to indicate its weight;
228(b)
of solid material not subject to loss of weight through attrition; and
228(c)
secured to the thrust-out beam.
