(1) The manufacturer's manual for a crane or hoist shall be reasonably available at the workplace where the equipment is being used.

The manual referred to in subsection (1) shall show the approved methods of erection, dismantling, maintenance and operation of the component parts and of the assembled crane or hoist.

The portions of the manufacturer's manual, or a copy of them, related to safe operation of the crane or hoist shall be available at the workplace where the equipment is being used.
295(4)
A crane or hoist shall not be used in a manner other than that referred to in the manual referred to in subsection (1) unless that use has been approved by the manufacturer or by a professional engineer, and the modifications and deviation shall be recorded in the manual.
