(1) Chutes shall be provided where the free fall of materials or debris being removed exceeds 6 metres.

Vertical chutes shall be completely enclosed and have gates at each point of entry.

The discharge area of a chute shall be barricaded or effectively guarded to prevent workers being injured by falling or flying debris and conspicuous signs shall be posted near a chute outlet to warn of danger.
