(1) An operator shall inspect a concrete placing boom or mast and test its safety and control devices before use on each shift and record the results of the inspection and tests.

A defect found in the concrete placing boom or mast shall be recorded and reported immediately to the supervisor or employer who shall determine the course of action.
386(3)
Where a defect may affect the safe operation of the concrete placing boom or mast, the equipment shall not be used until the defect has been remedied.
