(1) A work area on a vessel shall be kept

clear of unnecessary obstructions; and

free of slipping and tripping hazards.

Decks shall have non-skid surfaces except in those locations where a smooth deck is required for handling fish.

Tools and equipment shall be securely stowed when not in use.
