(1) Where a programmable logic controller or computer is used to control or initiate a blast, the system shall be approved by a professional engineer.

When blasting by electricity, the blaster shall not enter, or allow another person to enter, the area until
650(a)
the firing cables have been disconnected from the firing device and short circuited; or
650(b)
in the case of a blasting operation using a power or lighting circuit, the switches of the blasting circuit have been locked in the open position.
