PART XIV CRANES, HOISTS AND OTHER LIFTING EQUIPMENT — Definitions

"anti-two block device" means a device that, when activated, disengages all crane functions whose movement may cause two-blocking; and

"safe working load" means the load a crane or hoist may safely lift in a particular situation, taking into account factors including wind load, extremes of temperature and load sail area, which load may be equal to or less than the rated capacity or rated load.
