PART XIV CRANES, HOISTS AND OTHER LIFTING EQUIPMENT — Rated capacity indication

(1) The rated capacity of a crane or hoist shall be permanently indicated on the superstructure, hoist and load block of the equipment.
291(2)
Notwithstanding subsection (1), rated capacity indication shall not be required where it is affected by
291(a)
the vertical or horizontal angle of a boom or jib; permanently posted on the equipment; or
291(b)
the length of a boom or jib; issued to the equipment operator, who shall have the legible load chart available at all times when operating the equipment.
291(c)
the position of a load supporting trolley; or
291(d)
the use or position of outriggers to increase the stability of the structure.
