(1) A worker shall not use the worker’s hands or feet or a hand-held object to guide the rope when spooling the rope onto a drum.

Notwithstanding subsection (1), in an emergency a worker may use a steel guide bar of acceptable design to guide the rope onto the drum but the line speed shall be kept as low as practicable and the worker shall be positioned to be clear of the drum.
