Where practicable and required to prevent a hazard to workers, a control system shall be designed so that during an automatic sequence
508(a)
an operator may make an emergency stop of the controlled equipment;
508(b)
an operator may, where safe, be allowed manual control of the equipment; and
508(c)
the sequence aborts where a protective timer completes its assigned time without an expected event occurring.
