(1) The maximum distance from which an operator may control equipment operated by a remote control system shall be specified by the manufacturer.

Written safe procedures shall be established that
509(a)
specify the maximum distance from which the operator is allowed to remotely control the equipment; and
509(b)
ensure that a worker remains at a safe distance from remotely controlled moving parts and a remotely controlled mobile machine.
