PART XXIX UNDERGROUND OPERATIONS — Overspeed safety device

An employer shall ensure that a raise climber has an overspeed safety device that:
557(a)
meets the requirements of paragraph 555 (b);
557(b)
is approved by the manufacturer of the climber;
557(c)
is overhauled at least once every 3 years by the manufacturer or by another competent person; and
557(d)
bears a suitable mark identifying the serial number of the device, the most recent date on which the device was overhauled and the name of the person who performed the overhaul.
